Kelsey Smith Briggs

Kelsey and Raye

From the scrapbook Raye made for Kelsey

Kelsey Smith-Briggs was born as Kelsey Shelton Smith and changed to Smith-Briggs after a court order. Kelsey's paternal family's name is Robinson. Her father, Lance, didn't change his name to Briggs until just before he married Raye Dawn. Lance was never adopted into the Briggs family. Those who call Kelsey, Kelsey Briggs are dishonoring the child. Her name was NEVER Kelsey Briggs.

This is a page from a scrapbook Raye Dawn made for Kelsey.

Kathie Briggs has used Kelsey's image above (face image with white boa around her neck) on her Web site and on billboards and in other materials. Raye had these pictures made, but Kathie claimed ownership of them from Glamour Shots after Kelsey's death. Kathie Briggs is a photographer, but reportedly uses Raye's images because of a grudge she carries about Raye using a picture Kathie took of Kelsey in her birth announcement with Kelsey's last name as Smith, which was her legal name at the time of her birth.

John 3:19-21
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

"The good news is: If you can recognize an illusion as an illusion, it dissolves. The recognition of an illusion is also its ending." Eckhart Tolle
