Raymond Lance Robinson (Briggs)
- Kelsey's biological father - Lance changed his name to Briggs
shortly before marrying Raye Dawn. This is a mugshot of him that
was featured in an article that was written when he was arrested
for his second and third counts of domestic violence in 2006.
Michael Porter - Kelsey's
Stepfather - married Raye Dawn in April, 2005. Notice how big he
looks next to Raye Dawn. In his OSBI interview he told the
investigator that he's much bigger than Kelsey and he could have
hurt her while trying to save her.
Gayla Smith - Raye Dawn's mother,
and Kelsey
Gayla,
Kelsey, and Ray Smith - Raye Dawn's father
(deceased)
Raye Dawn,
Kelsey, Raye Dawn's great-grandmother, Raye Dawn's grandmother,
and Raye Dawn's mother
Mildred Fowler - Raye Dawn's
maternal grandmother, and Kelsey
(Kelsey's Purpose members have
really said some nasty things about Mildred and she's the
sweetest, kindest woman you could ever hope to meet.)
Rachelle -
Raye Dawn's sister, and Kelsey
Curtis - Raye
Dawn's brother, Kelsey, and Kelsey's cousin in the back
Janet - Raye
Dawn's sister
Miste Smith, Curtis's wife
Mike Porter has a son and a
daughter from two previous girlfriends. He had custody of his
daughter, who was around 8 or 9, and shared custody or several
days a week of visitation with his son who was around Kelsey's
age. (Pictures unavailable)
Ashley Briggs - Lance's second
wife and Kelsey's Stepmother - She was around 19 and 20 when she
married Lance and the custody battle ensued
Kathie Briggs - Lance's mother
Royce Briggs - Lance's
Stepfather (the tall one on the right)
Kevin Robinson - Lance's father
- shot himself at Christmas when Lance was a child. Friends
say it was because Kathie refused to give him visitation of his
children (Picture unavailable).
Shirica
Howard - Lance's sister
Shirica, Jeanna, and Robynn -
Lance's siblings - two of the girls have different fathers but
were in the same grade throughout school.
Crosspost from Shawnee News-Star
from May, 2002
Five generations
Helen Bugg of Shawnee, center of each photo, recently
celebrated a reunion of five generations.
Joining her were: her daughter, Shirley Richardson, Panama City
Beach, Fla., at left in each photo; her granddaughter, Kathie
Briggs, Meeker, in each photo;
her great-granddaughters, Shirica Howard; Jeanna Fowler; and
Robynn Briggs, all of Meeker; and her great-great-grandchildren,
Kyle Howard and Bridgette Howard; Eryn Fowler; and Zachary Briggs
and Ashton McCullough, all of Meeker.

Teri Sigman -
Kelsey's stepmother's mother - Ashley's Mother
Jay Sigman -
Kelsey's stepmother's stepfather - Ashley's Stepfather
Jay Sigman sat next to Raye
Dawn's cousin during the trial and wrote "trial for the bitch" at
the top of his notebook.
Kevin Robinson (Lance's
biological father) was related to Gayla - a cousin by marriage.
Teri Sigman was married at one
time to Gayla's brother.
Debbie Hammons was married at
one time to Gayla's other brother.
Jeanna Fowler - Lance's sister -
is currently married to Raye Dawn's first cousin - Randy
District Attorney - Richard
Smothermon
Judge Presiding over custody
battle - Judge Craig Key - Author of the book that tells Kelsey's
story.
Judge Presiding over Raye Dawn's
trial - Judge Paul Vassar
Sheila Kirk - Judge Key
appointed her to be Kelsey's attorney and she refused. She called
Kathie Briggs "White trash" and later teamed up with Kathie to use
Kelsey's death to replace Judge Key on the bench.
Jim Hodgens - Attorney for
Kathie and Royce Briggs
Greg Wilson, Steven Huddleston,
and Stephen Jones - Raye Dawn's attorneys
Paul Sutton - Mike Porter's
attorney
Jeremiah Hagemeier and Greg
Pollard - Attorneys for state in custody battle
Brandon Watkins - Kelsey's
attorney
David Burgess - Supervisor who
was threatened personally by Lance. Lance called and told him he
would break into his home and murder his wife and children and do
the same to Judge Key and his wife and children.
Yolanda Hunter - DHS worker -
Kelsey wanted to call Yolanda every night before she went to
sleep.
Carla Lynch - Court Appointed
Special Advocate volunteer who has joined Kelsey's Purpose. In
emails Shirica states they just use Carla for information and
she's "not the smartest hen in the house."
Patti Bonner - Comprehensive
Home Based Service worker
Michele Reeves - joined
Kelsey's purpose the last day of Raye Dawn's trial, or so they say. In an
interview she stated she thinks Raye Dawn left Kelsey for Mike to
find. This was speculated on the Briggs' forum, but no evidence or
discussion of this was ever given during the trial. Michelle also
said she hopes Raye Dawn is beaten in prison and was applauded on
Kelsey's Purpose for convicting Raye Dawn.
One of the Briggs
supporters is Shonya Kay. She has over 36 million hits on a video she did
over a year ago that is full of the Briggs version of Kelsey's story and
has twisted versions of the facts, half truths, and lies. She refuses to
change her video to reflect the truth. We
remade her video to point out all the areas where she's wrong. She's
acting like she knows all and people are actually buying into the lies.
Someone who saw that an innocent
woman was being turned into "enemy number one" by those who have
publicly stated they hate her. Raye Dawn had not had a chance to
tell her story and what type of human beings are we if we don't
stand up for what's right and give a voice to the truth and bring
light to the darkness?
John 3:19-21
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved
darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the
light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives
by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly
that what he has done has been done through God."
