Following are emails between Mike Porter and Kathie Briggs and her daughters, Shirica and Jeanna. In the first emails, Mike Porter pretended to be his sister, but Shirica has admitted that she found out it was Mike Porter communicating with her all along.

Throughout the emails promises are made to delete them once read, but Shirica and Kathie printed the emails. The Briggs family had nothing to do with us finding these emails and posting them. After reading them all, you'll understand why.

One hour after the announcement that the emails were going public, Kelsey's Purpose's forum shut down. It showed this message and briefly showed a message that it had been hacked. "Kelsey's Purpose

The forums are down temporarily for maintenance. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!!!"

 

It shut down right after Shirica announced that the emails were what help put Mike Porter in prison and that her family just lured and used him for information. As you read through the emails, you'll see who used who.

We've heard that Briggs' latest excuse is that the emails have been altered. We've not touched the emails except to remove phone numbers. We will no longer remove those so that you can see that the emails are unedited. We believe the truth speaks for itself, as you'll see.

 

 

 

 

Kathie Briggs turned the emails into Richard Smothermon. 

In cases against those accused of criminal activity the PROSECUTION must release copies of ALL evidence to the DEFENDANT- the Defendant does NOT have to do the same for the prosecution, it is their "right" (innocent until proven guilty, and all....)

So the emails had to be turned over to the DEFENSE which was Raye-Dawn's attorney. (Huddleston)

He attempted on several occasions during the trial to bring up the emails, but he was continuously denied. (Like during Kathie Briggs' testimony)

Raye-Dawn and her family had NEVER read the emails until Huddleston released them to Raye-Dawn's new attorney.  They JUST read them!!!  

They had to decide whether or not they were going to be used as part of the strategy for the appeal, and the attorney made the decision that even if they were to use them, it would only HELP Raye-Dawn publicly to have them released. 

Since they are "evidence" in the case against Raye-Dawn, she has the LEGAL right to make them public. (Open Records Act) Raye Dawn has read them and was devastated to know the lengths that Kathie Briggs and her family were willing to go to in order to put Raye Dawn in jail.  Everything was cleared through her.

Remember that the Briggs have had MULTIPLE lawsuits pending against everyone and their dog. They've almost all been thrown out of court, settled, or dropped. Rumor has it that civil suits are still pending. Since Raye Dawn is one of Kelsey's parents she would be entitled to half of any of the monies awarded to Lance from all of his MANY suits. Let me remind you that Raye Dawn is adamant that NOBODY is to make money from the death of her child. She could care less about the suits but the Briggs didn't want to share any awards with her. After Raye Dawn was convicted members of the Briggs family were overheard by courthouse personnel running through the hallway yelling that Raye Dawn wouldn't get any of the lawsuit money. Kathie Briggs stated publicly that she wanted to see Raye Dawn spend at least one day in jail. Just one day in jail would have excluded Raye Dawn from sharing in any awards of the suits. In my opinion, the Briggs were desperate to see Raye Dawn in jail for the financial reasons I've mentioned above. After Mike Porter offered to pay for and design a billboard, stickers, yard signs, etc. for the Briggs he was welcomed into their fold and treated like an old friend. He stated, "Money is no object." Did his statement along with the many lies he offers up in his emails to point the finger at Raye Dawn and his willingness to lie on the stand for the prosecution buy his plea? I think so...Let me remind you he made a plea that the DA is refusing to share with the Smith family; a plea that we're told is not public record.

Just so you know - Raye-Dawn said that she wasn't surprised about Kelsey's Purpose closing down, because she can dish it out but she can't take it.. that is how she operates. 


Shirica made a family statement on the evening of January 8th, 2008, when her family's site came back up.  She stated, "The intent of the emails were to lure him out by trying to gain his
confidence and trust and then using that to gain some kind of understanding
into the mind of this murderer."

That both says they felt and feel MP is the murderer.
Interesting.............

January 8, 2008 Kathie said, "Raye's actions since at the trial and since has made me lean towards her. She is the one I originally thought killed Kelsey and now I am back to that thought."

After the trial Raye Dawn was taken directly into custody. Her ONE and ONLY action was to turn to Kathie and say, "Kathie, I forgive you." Kathie has not seen or heard from Raye Dawn since then. Raye Dawn knew who put her in jail. She knew why she was sentenced to 27 years for enabling. It wasn't for a crime, it was from the hate Kathie has for Raye Dawn. Raye Dawn forgave Kathie and Kathie said, "Take her away" when interviewed moments after Raye Dawn's statement. Kathie was visibly upset that she was forgiven. Her statement of how Raye Dawn's actions lead her to now believing that Raye Dawn murdered her child is ludicrous!

Lance said in an interview that he hates Raye Dawn. He said, "I hope they put pictures of Kelsey all over the prison and she's beaten every day. I hope prison is hell for Raye Dawn." Why so much hate for the mother of Kelsey and none for the man who murdered her, as Shirica and Kathie both admitted.

 

NOTES: 

This post was made seven months AFTER the Briggs started communicating with Mike Porter, after Kathie offered Mike rides, after Kathie and her daughters helped Mike in his defense and after Mike Porter BOUGHT his plea. The subject of meeting face to face was brought up by Shirica, not Mike Porter.  

 

NOTES: 

This is SUPPOSED to be from Michael Porter’s sister Mary Beth.  However, you will notice later in emails actually addressed as being to ro from Michael Porter the typing mannerisims remain the same.  Sherica even admitted that she found out it was Michael pretending to be his sister and she was communicating with him all along. 

Also, we would like to note that this 1^st email was written on 12/29/2005 – just 1 day after what would have been Kelsey’s 3^rd birthday (79 days after her death).  Michael Porter was out on bond, and as a condition of bond, he nor any of his family members should have been in contact with the family(s) of the victim.

1.       Michael will have his day in court?? 

He gave up his day in court and accepted a guilty plea – the charge is inconsequential .

 

2.       What we should ALL be concerned about is the reluctance to prosecute other parties. 

This shows that all of the parties involved were painfully aware of the DA’s reluctance to prosecute Raye-Dawn. 

 

3.       We would like to keep the lines of communication open; and for that to happen our communications should be kept in confidence. 

Was this the beginning of a conspiracy? It is quite obvious that this wasn’t kept confident. 

NOTES

1.       This email is 20 minutes after the previous one.

 

2.       Shirica said “I welcome private phone calls and I am very much into discretion.”

What on earth would she have the need to discuss anything in private?  Even if she didn’t think that Mike was the murderer, he was still the only suspect charged with the crime.  If nothing was going on, she could have requested “court mediated” meetings with Porter.

 

NOTES

1.       You will notice that this note from Michael at states that all of the e-mails will be permanently deleted.  However, throughout the correspondence he is able to refer to and quote previous emails.  Could be a good memory, could be deception.

 

2.       In the email from Shirica she states that she cannot help without some sort of confirmation, and even states that she will “trade” info.  Yet the plot thickens in the “Conspiracy Theory”.  Remember at this time NO charges were filed or pending against Raye Dawn and the paternal family was very angry about this.

Note also that this was printed the next day, after there was a promise that everything would be deleted.  Looks like everyone was deceiving everyone.
